A Historic Legacy

Jhelum Kinaré was lovingly built almost 70 years back by Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad, a visionary leader and then Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Designed to bring his family closer to nature and the tranquil beauty of Srinagar, the house has been cherished for generations.

Today, it stands as a symbol of Kashmir's historic legacy, where every detail reflects tradition, culture, and love. The property has witnessed significant moments in Kashmir's history and continues to tell stories of a bygone era.

The property is adorned with traditional khatamband ceilings, a hallmark of Kashmiri craftsmanship. Its spacious attic, once a venue for family weddings, showcases an intricate tongue-and-groove design without a single nail.

Complemented by sprawling gardens with apple, plum, and pear trees, ivy-covered exteriors, and fresh strawberries in season, Jhelum Kinaré is an ode to elegance and heritage. Every corner of the property tells a story of meticulous attention to detail and preservation of cultural artistry.
